Project Tomorrow

Take a look at these great videos on the Project Tomorrow website. These would be helpful to show to administrators who need more motivation to integrate technology at their schools. I especially like the one with students talking about the need for better use of ed tech. Students are the point after all--we need to listen to what they're saying! (Be warned! At first it may appear the video links don't work--but they do!)

Also, check out this handout about student perceptions of Going to School in 2015. This is really eye-opening student voice!

  1. Thank you for the quick links - the voice of the student is an amazing motivator for teachers.

  2. I agree that the student voices on the "Going to School in 2015" document is eye opening! I especially liked the comment by the 10th grade boy from Chicago who said, "I think that in 2015 everything would be digital. Textbooks and notebooks would be archived through a computer. Hand outs would be sent to the student’s email accounts so they could open them up in class. And all lectures could be recorded by students." This would be a great document to share with teachers and adminstrrators to see what their audience (students) really want and expect!

  4. This reminds me of the disparity in the numbers reported by Julie Evans shared with regard to schools doing a good job of integrating technology in to learning. As you recall, 70 percent of adults think schools are doing a good job of providing tech in schools. unfortunately 43% of students agree...
