About Me

I work at the San Diego County Office of Education. I am an administrator in the Migrant Education Program.  Migrant Education is part of Title I, and provides extra funding to support students who have experienced disruption in their education because their parents are migrant farm workers.

My dissertation study will explore the supportive relationships between educators and Latino high school students who will be the first in their families to graduate and to attend college. I believe educator empathy is a critical component of these relationships, so their is a focus on empathy in my study.
